What this is
A native Mac app for creating and exporting layered game sound effects with MIDI control. No AI inside, though it ships an MCP server for agent integration.
Our one-line summary — not the founder’s tagline.
- How it works
- A native Apple Silicon Mac app for creating game sound effects: start from built-in generators, layer multiple voices each with their own effects chains and LFOs, or mutate/randomize sounds to explore variations, with undo on every action. Exports WAV at multiple sample/bit rates, including per-layer stems, and supports custom MIDI controllers.
- What's different
- Sound files are stored as JSON, and while the app itself has no AI built in, the direct download ships with an MCP server for agent integration.
- Best for
- Game developers and sound designers who want a native, layer-based SFX creation tool with MIDI control.

Every group here is a page of its own — each one checked daily.
The numbersIs it still shipping, is it overpriced, where did it land — and what the price is built from.
League price & chart
No money. No seat. It goes on your record — and in 28 days reality settles it.

Design. Launched 16d ago on Devhunt, picking up 1 votes. Today, the site itself changed 54m ago — evidence it's still shipping, not just announcing.
Moving right now. The clock only starts when a launch goes quiet.
We check this site every day, ourselves. A founder can post “still working on it” — a claim like that doesn't price. What we price is what we can verify from the outside: evidence, not announcements. The real question isn't “will this be huge?” — it's “will they still be moving in four weeks?”

The market viewHow this launch is priced and ranked in our league — the investor side of the page.
ranked by the reality anchor, not the market price
It launched on Devhunt with 1 votes. It also showed up on 1 other board — but didn't place well enough on any of them, so none of them add to the price. Listing on twelve directories is free; placing well on them isn't.
No matter how much money goes in. There is no pump here — you can't make yourself right by buying more. The line only moves on things that actually happened: an award, revenue that grew, a new platform, code that shipped — or silence.
En eski 1 hareket bu listede yok — toplam 13 olay var. 4 quiet days in between are left out — nothing happened on them. A launch that goes quiet eases down a little at a time — never a cliff you could have run from the night before.
Daily tracking just started for this launch — the first point is on the board. A second reading lands with tomorrow's run, and the curve builds from there.
How the launch is moving on its own board, day by day — the crowd's attention.
A flat line is normal: votes stop within a day or two of launch, on every board. What's unusual — and what actually counts — is a launch that keeps pulling votes long after its day is over.
About
MJSFX is a free, native macOS sounds and effects design studio. Start from a generator (lasers, explosions, blips, hits, etc) then build with layered oscillators, each with its own pitch sweep, envelope, and filters. Chain reverb, delay, distortion, bitcrush, and more per layer or across the whole sound, plus LFOs that can modulate knobs, including other LFOs. Everything exports to WAV, including retro formats like 22kHz/8-bit and per-layer stems. Sounds are repo-friendly JSON files as are all configuration files. It has extensive MIDI hardware support with soft pickup and per-controller profiles, a built-in library with folders and filtering, workspaces, a live "Sound Portrait" visualization drawn from real engine output, and twenty themes plus a browser-based theme builder. No in-app AI, but the direct download (and homebrew) version ships with an MCP server. Docs on the site. No ads, no telemetry, and you own everything you make. Requires Apple Silicon and macOS 14+.
Where it launched
2 platformsThe board it did best on sets the price. Every other board only adds to it if the launch also placed high on that board too — because just showing up somewhere isn't an achievement. Listing on twelve directories is free; placing well on them isn't.
