Tablif reads every new software product as it launches, around 6,000 to 7,000 a week, and quotes what each one says about itself. Tablif Town gives every one of them a house. Today the town has 30,019 houses in 153 neighborhoods, and 208 more are being built.
How it works
A product launches. Tablif reads its site: what it does and what it costs. While Tablif reads, its house is scaffolding.
Its house goes up in the neighborhood for its kind of tool. Anyone can open the house card and see what the product says about itself and which products are closest to it.
The founder claims it: sign in and prove the site is yours with a tag, a meta line or a DNS record. The lights come on, your name goes on the sign and the house is yours to design.
Life in town: announcements, knocks at the door, follows, parties, open houses and the town square.
Verified House
The first 100 founders who prove their site get a Verified House for good: a lakeside lot with its own dock and every Verified piece in the house studio. Same number, same link.
The rules of the town
Every product gets a lot in the neighborhood for its kind of tool.
Nobody is ranked here and nobody pays to be listed first.
A claimed house links to its own site and stays in town for good.
A claimed house's lights go out after 14 days without its owner visiting, and come back on when they return.
Houses nobody has claimed move to Launch Grove over time, oldest first, and become trees. The link stays the same, and the house comes back when its owner proves the site.
A founder can also add a product that is not in town yet by proving its site.
Tablif does not sell, resell or take payments for any product in the town, and houses are free. Tablif does not take payments today.
