Size It Up
For when you need to Daily guessing game like Wordle.
A free daily browser game for curious people: stretch a shape until it matches the real size of an object, planet or dinosaur, then score.
What it does
Five daily games
Classic, Cosmic Scale, Prehistoric Giants, Kitchen Table and Tiny Worlds each get a new puzzle every day.
“Each game has its own puzzle and its own daily leaderboard.”
A real-scale ruler
A familiar teal object is drawn at its true size and never moves, so you always have something to judge against.
“The teal object is the reference. It is drawn at its real size and never changes.”
Drag, pinch or arrow keys
You resize the orange silhouette with the mouse, your fingers or the keyboard.
“Drag the corner handle, pinch, or use the arrow keys to resize the orange silhouette.”
Answers with a source
After you confirm, the true outline appears over your guess with the number, a fact and a link to where it came from.
“Confirm to reveal the true size, a fact about the object and a link to where the number comes from.”
Fair ratio scoring
Guessing double counts the same as guessing half, so big and tiny objects are scored alike.
“What counts is the ratio between your guess and the truth, so guessing double is as far off as guessing half.”
Ranked leaderboards
Signed-in players get one ranked try per round, and that try is what the leaderboard counts.
“Signed-in players get one ranked attempt per round, which is what the leaderboard counts.”
Free play and archive
When the daily rounds are done, free play keeps dealing rounds and the archive replays any past day.
“Free play deals endless rounds, and the archive replays any past day.”
Insight rewards
Ranked play earns Insight, which you spend on titles and board themes.
“Ranked play also earns Insight, which you can spend on titles and board themes.”
What Size It Up doesn't do
- It doesn't let you retry a daily round for a better ranked score; you get one ranked attempt.
- It doesn't count free play rounds toward your score; they are just for fun.
- It doesn't give exact sizes for extinct animals; those are estimates, often the midpoint of a published range.
- It isn't a comparison tool where you pick any two things; each round sets the objects for you.
