How to resize one banner design into every ad size in Figma

The master design is approved, and now the media plan lands: Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, LinkedIn and a list of IAB sizes. You know the next two days will be spent rebuilding the same layout again and again, nudging the logo and the headline for each format. Then the client changes the price, and you have to open every frame one more time. By the end, there is no time left for the creative work you actually enjoy.

The short answer

Flexlio is a Figma plugin that turns your approved masters into a full multi-size campaign without leaving Figma. It builds each banner from the master with the closest ratio and adapts the layout for the format, and every result is a normal, editable Figma frame.

01Why the usual way fails

Scaling a frame in Figma stretches or squashes the artwork, because a tall story and a wide leaderboard need different layouts, not just a different size. Copying the master and fixing each size by hand works, but every late change has to be repeated in every frame, and it is easy to miss one. Exporting is its own chore, with dozens of files to open and rename to match the media plan. Safe zones for each platform add another layer of checking that is easy to forget at the end of a long day.

02How Flexlio 3.0 helps

Flexlio is a Figma plugin that turns your approved masters into a full multi-size campaign without leaving Figma. It builds each banner from the master with the closest ratio and adapts the layout for the format, and every result is a normal, editable Figma frame. Live Sync carries copy edits through the linked masters and banners, and you press Sync to apply image changes and other updates. When the set is ready, you export the whole campaign into one folder with the files already named.

03Step by step

  1. Set up your masters with Auto Layout and anchors, using the setup cards inside the plugin as a guide.
  2. Select your masters, choose your sizes or import your media plan, and press Generate.
  3. Review each banner, check the safe-zone and artwork warnings, and fine-tune any frame by hand.
  4. When copy or images change, edit the master and let Sync carry the change to the other sizes.
  5. Export the full set in one go, already named by channel, size and plan.

04Tips

  • Start every master with the same copy. That way an edit in one master can reach the others, and you avoid fixing the headline in several places.
  • Group everything that makes up an image, like layers, masks and cutouts. Loose parts tend to scatter when a layout is resized for a very different format.
  • Turn logos, prices and buttons into components. They stay in proportion across sizes and update everywhere at once when the client changes them.
  • Do a final pass yourself before export. The automated checks flag images that stop short of an edge and very small text, but a human eye still decides whether each banner reads well.
